The Stage 1 project at Aurora School SDS is the outdoor playspace intervention. The school is one of the few specialist developmental schools in Victoria that specialises in education and early intervention for children with deafblind challenges.

The new project replaced the former 20 years+ playground structure and plantings within their Block A Central Courtyard. The new playspace addresses inclusivity for children of all abilities, provides “fun” and “risk” for children to develop their emotional, sensorial and physical needs.

WHDA - Lead Consultant and Design Manager, including preparing a 10 year AMP2 Site Masterplan in partnership with the School Leadership Team and the DET / VSBA.

Playce Pty Ltd - Landscape Architects and playspace designers.
